Introduction

Since video has two kinds of resolution: spatial resolution and temporal resolution, video super-resolution can be performed in two directions:

• Spatial super-resolution: Produce enlarged frames which contain more spatial details.

• Temporal super-resolution: Recover rapid dynamic events that occur faster than the original frame-rate.
